Our Vision
The rising tide raises all ships.
Testing is such a vast field with multiple disciplines, but quality and the role of QA Engineers, testers, automation, and automators varies drastically from company to company or is just unknown.
This, plus the fact that there are not enough experienced testers and automators, means that these different companies are teaching their own “flavor” of QA, but don’t know best practices, standards and guidelines, or how to properly train testers and automators.
Although our vision to “raise the tide” is global, we started with the Testing Professionals in Utah and started the QA Utah community. Our goal is to bring all of these perspectives, contexts, and experiences together. This way, we can all learn from each other and become better holistically in our personal careers, as a community, and ultimately, take what we learn to our teams and organizations.
Each and every person is welcome to join us. We are partnering with many amazing organizations, like Women Who Test, to bring technology, programming, and testing to everyone.
I wanted to create a platform to help individuals have a centralized place to come and learn, make new friends and connections, and get answers to all their questions.
I wanted to create a community where individuals felt welcome and in control of their career goals and learning.
I wanted to create something that would show just how fun and valuable testing can be.
Welcome to QA at the Point.
