Weekly Classes

Hands-on classes for testing, programming, and automation.

Multiple times a month, we get together as a group. The Autobots class focuses on programming and automation. The Manual Testers class focuses on testing strategies, techniques, and tools.

These classes are usually 1-2 hours each.

You’ll find all of these events on our Meetup.com page by clicking on the button above!

This is a great way to work on your testing, programming, and automation skills to break into that first job, get a promotion, or just hone your craft even more.

Currently, these meetings are done remotely but may look to return to a mix of in-person & remote soon. To join this Zoom session, please join the appropriate #autobots or #manual_testers channel in our QA Utah Slack group. We will post the link there before the training starts.

Please RSVP to the classes you’d like to attend so we can accommodate seating, food, etc. See you there!

FAQs:

Q: Do I need coding experience to attend?
A: Typically no. This is meant for all skill and experience levels. Check the meetup page for event details.

Q: Is there anything I need to do prior to attending?
A: No, but we highly recommend joining our Slack group so you can ask questions and get help in the #autobots and #manual_testers channels.

Q: What materials should I bring?
A: Laptop (Windows, Mac, or Linux) is required. You can’t follow along without a computer. If you don’t have one, please reach out to us! With enough notice, we might be able to provide one.

Q: Where do I ask questions or get help during the week?
A: The #autobots and #manual_testers channels in the QA Utah slack is the best place to chat.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Nothing! This is 100% free! Services, like GitHub, will be needed, but you can use the free versions. (It’s up to you if you want to pay for any professional or enterprise-level services or tools.)
